Shipping and Returns


OWN THE COUTURE currently ships via Canada Post Expedited Parcel across Canada. We will also ship to customers residing in the United States.



OWN THE COUTURE ships from our warehouse in Montreal. If you reside in a major center in either the Province of Ontario or Quebec, Canada Post's delivery standard for this region is one to two days. If you reside in major cities in other Provinces outside Ontario or Quebec shipping will take 2- 4 days to arrive from time of departure. Shipping to rural areas will take between 3 to 5 days.

Shipping to the U.S. will take 4 to 6 days. For orders destined to the U.S., any duties or taxes levied against packages arriving from outside the United States are determined by U.S. Customs and Immigration and are the responsibility of the recipient. 

We will ship items within 2 business days after receiving cleared payment from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and holidays.
All packages shipped by OWN THE COUTURE are insured to cover the cost of the package and require a signature.





For the Montreal area customers, if you wish you also have the option to pick up your purchase directly from our office and therefore save the $15 shipping fee.

In order to pick up from our offices, at checkout, simply select "Pick Up at Own The Couture office" as a Shipping method and the shipping fee will be removed. You will then be contacted by our Customer Service to make an appointment to pick up your purchase.



Within Canada shipping is free for purchases above $250. Or for purchases under $250 within Canada, there is a shipping flat rate of $15.00. (signature required so we cannot ship to a post office box).  For shipping to a U.S. address we charge a flat rate of $25.00. 



All packages shipped by OWN THE COUTURE are tracked and we will send an email notification which will include Canada Post tracking information when your package has shipped.



Sometimes the fit isn't right and you wish to return your purchase. So yes, we accept returns. Upon receipt of the item you have purchased, you have 14 days to send it back to OWN THE COUTURE.


  • Upon receipt of your email indicating you wish to return your purchase we will contact you with shipping instructions. 
    • You are responsible for the shipping cost of returning the cancelled order to OWN THE COUTURE.
    • You must insure the item when shipping and you must ensure the courrier or Post Office requires a signature upon receipt.
    • All item(s) returned must be in the same condition as when it was received, with the OWN THE COUTURE return tag or sticker fully intact and still attached. And all original packaging and extras, such as dust bags, locks, etc… must be included.
    • Please take care of packing/protecting the item you are returning. If the item(s) are not in the same condition as when purchased, the refund value will be affected or we reserve the right to not accept the return.
    • Item(s) must be postmarked/shipped within 14 days of receipt.
  • Once we receive your item(s) we will notify you via email. Provided you have fulfilled the instructions above and the item(s) are in the condition we shipped it to you in, we will then process a refund within 10 working days.
  • All eligible returns will be refunded to the buyer using the same form of payment, which was originally used to make the purchase.
  • If you change credit card info between the purchase and the return, it is your responsibility to contact your previous institution and advise that a refund will be sent to previous account.
  • Refund funds cannot be used toward another purchase. The refunded transaction needs to be completed per item.
  • Please take note that unfortunately all items sold in our 40% off are FINAL SALE, and no returns will be accepted. We offer the opportunity to resell purchased items as a consignor. Click here to find out how to consign.

For the customers who live in the Montreal area, instead of mailing the item you wish to return, you also have the option of scheduling an appointment to return the item in person at our offices. Please send us an email at if you wish to schedule an appointment to drop off your return.


To help avoid you having to deal with returns, please review, the measurements, description and photos. Please note size and flaws in the listing of description and photos.

As a re-seller of previously owned luxury goods, we sell as is, and we do not provide a “warranty” of the workmanship of the brand—that would be covered by the brand manufacturer and you should contact them.
