How To Consign

It’s simple, we either pick up the items you wish to consign directly from your home (where available) or you ship them to us and we'll reimburse you $25 for the shipping cost. We handle the rest from here!

SHIP AND GET REIMBURSED $25 FOR SHIPPING

If you have less than 10 items to consign or you do not live in either the Greater Toronto Area or the Greater Montreal Area you will firstly, have to complete the online consignment form to let us know what you wish to consign before shipping them to the OWN THE COUTURE offices. 

When completing the online form if possible, provide a clear picture of each item and include these pictures in your online consignment form. We will then contact you by email and confirm which items we will consider for consignment and provide you with shipping information and instructions.

We recommend that the items you wish to consign be carefully packaged for shipping. You can protect the items you are shipping from possible water damage in transport by simply wrapping the items in a plastic bag before packaging in a shipping box.  As these are luxury items it is recommended that you insure the items when shipping and ask for a signature upon receipt.

 

APPRAISAL

Once we have picked up or received your items for consignment we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt by email. We will then conduct a preliminary inspection to determine the condition and also authenticate the items.

Within seven days of the date of the acknowledgement of receipt we will email to confirm which items have been retained for consignment. This email will also identify the suggested selling price for each item.

We will then ask you to review and sign the consignment agreement if you have not already done so. Click here to access the online consignment agreement.

 

SELLING

We shall then professionally photograph each item for consignment and list these items on the OWN THE COUTURE website within fourteen days of the price confirmation.

Once your item(s) has been sold we will ship the item to the buyer. You will then receive payment by cheque on the 15th day of every month following the month of sale. (For example, proceeds from sales occurring between January 1 and 31 will be paid out on February 15th.)
